Italians are known as being very fond of children. Kids are always a part of everything here and are allowed to eat and play with the grown-ups until late in the evening. Tuscany is a region in Italy and, in addition to its beautiful landscape, it has many great things to offer, such as the leaning tower of Pisa, water, nature and amusement parks plus beautiful beaches.
The best time to go is to fly with Austrian Airlines from late spring to autumn. In July and August, the temperatures on the coast climb up to 35 degrees Celsius, while inland it is even hotter. The city of Florence is a wonderful starting point for discovering Tuscany. If you prefer being active to sitting still, you should climb Giotto’s bell tower or the dome of the cathedral. The wonderful farms in Tuscany, called Agriturismo, are particularly beautiful and very popular. They lie between the hills past the cypress avenues for which Tuscany is so famous. As well as their animals, many farms have a pool for humans to have a refreshing dip in!
How about a ride on horseback in the Tuscan hills? There are horse ranches all over Tuscany. All you have to do is look out for the road signs. On the coast in western Tuscany, you will also find the popular water park Acqua Village in Cecina and Follonica with huge water slides, wave pools and the artificial lagoon Paradise Island. Bathing fun is guaranteed here, including on the beautiful, fine sandy beaches that you will find everywhere.
