Embraer 195

The Embraer 195 is a twin-engine, short-haul aircraft that is not only modern in design and offers plenty of space for 120 passengers, but is also particularly economical: the Embraer 195 consumes about 18 percent less fuel than Fokker aircraft per passenger and therefore has a much lower environmental impact. Ten of the 17 new aircraft have already been added (which means that they are active in flight operations) and will gradually replace the Fokker aircraft.

A total of more than 8,500 employees will be specially trained in handling the newcomers to the fleet, including technicians, flight attendants, ground crew and, of course, captains and co-pilots. There is an Embraer simulator in Vienna especially for them – and it weights 15 tons!
